I don't want to clutter up the bug reports thread with such small things.

I have noticed that in the text describing the player's empire in the bottom left corner of the galaxy creation screen, thee is a "s" added to the end of your empire name.

Even with the default empire name there, that added "s" just doesn't make sense, since with it present the text reads "The Terran Alliances, under the rule of it's leader, Alan Bradley [...]"

It hasn't stopped me from playing the game though ;p

Okay, there's an easy fix you can do at home. Open up the Data directory in your GalCiv directory, open "English.str". Right near the top of the file, you'll find:


[TABLEALIAS SetupStrings]

[OverviewRaw] The %ss, under the rule of it's leader, %s, has jump-started the galactic race by creating 'Hyper-Drive'. Besides skills increased through the ruling political party, the %s Empire specialize in %s.

Just change that %ss to %s.
