Moving the Civilization Capital

In past games I've seen the AI move thier civilization capital to systems closer to their borders (for influence reasons I'm assuming).

If this isn't a bug--which I'm not sure if it is--then how can I move MY capital? I've checked it out in the colony details and in all of the domestic policy tabs but I STILL cannot find out how to do it. :(

If anyone knows if/how you can change your civilization capital, it'd be much appreciated.

I've conquered a planet that had a capital on it, and then I had 2 planets with capitals on them. That's probably a bug, but perhaps that happened with the computer.

The same is for all capitals, I often have multiple economy or production capitals or research. I think it should be corrected post it in bugs or something

Just so you guys know, I wasn't refering to the buildable capital types (research, production, ect.), but refering to the civilization capital--the one with the crown in the lower left.

Every empire can build one manufacuring, economic, political, and research capital even if you took over a capital that ANOTHER empire built. This explains how you can have more than one production or economic capital through conquest.

But, you can only have ONE civilization capital regardless of whose planets you conquer. My question is if/how you can MOVE that little crown around to a different system.

The AI has done it before, both when they lost their capital through conquest and when they just decided it would be a better place in a border system, so I'm just not sure if it's a glitch, an AI only option, or something I could do if I knew how.

Anyone know?

Not in my experience, Astax. Psiborg is right. Their Crown cap. moves to their latest planets, it seems like.

I just watched the Drengins setup their capital in front of me 20 turns into the game. There's no way they've lost their original capital for that to happen. I did notice something peculiar however. The planet that turned into a capital was settled by the first colony ship from the Drengin home system, and this may or may not be of some interest. In any case, it looks like a legitimate bug to me.

Yup.. I mentioned this many days ago.. not sure if it is being addressed tho. But early enough in the game, as soon as the Broccoli Heads (Torians) inhabited a new system, the capital icon changed to it. What was odd was that out of the two planets available, a 15 and a 16 PQ, they chose the 15. Go figure!
