Need more granularity in espionage and destabilization

I'm playing a game where I have been using espionage and destabilization again the Drengin for quite a while, spending thousands of "bc's" over several years. I have gotten the periodic message screen with eye containing North and South America (?) which reports the level of my intelligence, but that really doesn't tell me much.
I think there needs to be more granularity or detail in the espionage and destabilization process, especially the latter. I have no idea how the money is being spent, how effective the use has been, and whether the Drengins have been sucessful or not in opposite it. While some might say that spy work tends to me more subjective, I don't think this fits in well with the rest of the GalCiv design concept. After all, I can measure morale down to a percentage point, know attack, defence and hit points of a ship, why can't I have a more objective measurement of the effectiveness of my spy work?
