Guns Guns Guns?


Just having subscribed to this game, I have some great hopes for it.
Also hoping to add some info to it, as there is a slight chance they might be heard

I haven't played long enough for any detailed stuff, but there is one thing I'd like to give some input on.

Its the guns, they are just not....ommph enough, its like watching a machine guns or something shooting.

Come on, real battleships fire slow ,but HARD, and their guns go BOOM, not ratata or something equally boring.

This is the same problem this other space shooter I tested ...I shoot and shoot, but the weapons do NO damage...is this the future or?

I'd rather see the weapons be inaccurate, and not hit so well, than watching them hit repeatedly but do silly or no damage. Makes me feel like they are peashooters.

So...for my recommendation.

- reduce fire clutter
- make weapons miss
- Weapons hits should HURT


Good example is a game I play..Navy Field....a single battleship round salvo will break an enemy cruiser or sometimes even a small battleship in two...now thats POWER...

And at the same time it makes commanding anything other then a battleship worthless (and if you use a carrier the bitch is endless). Its fine. Maybe more damaging "looks" such as armor shredding off, but nothing more, really.

Not at all, tracking problems with big guns usually can remedy that, EVE online certainly uses it with great effect.

It's a bit silly to keep shooting those little autocannons for minutes after minutes on enemy ships , and notice that they take little damage.

Feels like the ships are armed with peashooters..

Scrap the autofire stuff, and the lasers with tons of pew pew...go for more solid 1 hits, so that the battle looks a bit more powerful.

Good example is the planetary GAUSS cannons, very big, very cool....BOOM...then ...a little smear on the enemy ships...bleh

Weapons effects and handling is going to be VERY important for this game..do NOT ignore it.

Excellent ponints, I have a mod in the modding section, makes the Gauss , fire a tripple round that is 3x as powerful as its current shot, takes out a frigate in one salvo, and takes 3x as long to recharge. VERY EFFECTIVE, and makes bombers the best weapon to take it out or JLRMF's
