Buying races out of existance?

I was able to hoard some money, and then buy all of the opposing races planets (including their home one) away from them. For about 5000 I could purchase just about all the planets of a race that was neutral or better towards me.

This doesn't seem quite right. They shouldn't be willing to sell themselves out of the galaxy. How are they supposed to use the money if they don't exist?

Yes, it does seem way too easy to win games by just buying out all the opposition.

Trading for planets also seems pretty bugged. Many times I will offer a Minor race all my techs and trade goods for all of their planets and the text will turn yellow, not allowing me to trade. Yet if I change the order I select their planets in, the text will change green and I can make the trade.

For example I will offer all my techs for planets A, B and C and they wont accept it - but if I offer the same techs for planets B, C and A (same planets, just different order) then they WILL accept it.

Sometimes just removing one planet from the trade and adding it again can be enough to make them accept.
