My game has been crashing when a computer enemy tries to invade my planet and I set it to manually defend vs automatic.  It won't crash when I set the invasion for automatic.  It also doesn't crash when I attack a planet manually.  I have updated my graphics card to latest drivers.  From how specific the crash is I don't think its on my end.  Anyone else having issues with this.  I of course play a on insane map setting.   Hope there is a fix for this bug and it comes out soon.
