So, I don't normally mention issues as I see fellow players normally do a lot of this on the forums, but curious if the developers have mentioned any work being done on the following issues and I just missed reading about it. Or maybe I am a dummy and these things really work I am just doing it wrong...
1. Multiplayer using custom races. Broken since the new DLC. And by broken I mean, they worked before the DLC and they don't now. So, even if it was intended - it still broke that feature. Which we use the absolute most of all features...
2. Commander versus Admiral. Was it really intended to be like that? It seems the Commander is generally more valuable than the Admiral....
3. AI combat. Why would the AI intentionally attack ships that it cannot defeat. No chance, none. Cannot even do any damage. Essentially, committing suicide. Over and over again. I have had games I did just for laughs, put a warship in a spot - they came up and attacked it with wimpy ships for the next 50 TURNS.... jeez..
4. Select the ability to use Mod add-on, is that ever going to work? Enable Mods. Aside from the old style of overriding the game files - is this ever going to work? Might be better to remove that, because on custom games it can really botch up your startup, forcing you to reboot and reset by erasing crusade dlc, going back to the previous to turn it off, then reinstalling crusade. Just because you clicked that and tried to use it.
5. When you trade for a planet in the game - the associated starbase is now disassociated from that planet - and the old previous empire still owns it. You cannot get rid of it without attacking the empire. If you try to also trade for that, it is unable to be found on the opposing empires list of existing starbases. Its been orphaned...
6. Pirates. They just rarely exist in anything. Pirate density has really dropped. Setting pirates to common on a huge galaxy - we barely run into them after 4-5 games so far. Essentially, they are no longer in the game as far as we can tell. Even the very very rare occasion we see them, they are bottom feeders power-wise.
thanks
