Really?

I want to love this game. One issue: when I open it, it doesn't work. I first open the game, see the resolution is off, make it 1080p. Now my issue is that I get either (1) a dumb window where I can't see the mouse and it doesn't click where I want it to or (2) if I put it back to 1280p and... well... then it is in crappy 1280p. Same glitch was in the 2012 game. I am REALLY mad -- you guys should have fixed this over the last four years. 

This happened with my 2012 version, too. I eventually fixed it. Unfortunately, I don't remember how. I am very, very disappointed. This is an issue all over these forums. For a developer who has this early release because he likes the community, it doesn't seem like he has listened the last four years. Hopefully he/she/they see this and fix this problem. If someone could help me, I would appreciate it.
