Why Early Access?
"Feedback and testing are critical for game development. We are constantly iterating and trying out new ideas and we need players to help us through that process in order to deliver the best game possible at release. In addition, Early Access gives us time to incorporate the ongoing zaniness of the primary season into the game through new issues and events."
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
"The Political Machine 2016 is scheduled to release early 2016."
How will the full version differ from the Early Access version?
"We will be adding multiplayer so that you can compete against your friends (and frenemies). Leaderboards allow your show off your political skills and illustrate what candidates and issues are trending among all players. We will also be adding random events to mix up the campaign by changing the importance of different issues."
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
"The game is entirely enjoyable in single player mode: Choose or customize your candidate (yes, you can play as/against Trump). Travel between states to give speeches, run media campaigns, and hire political operatives to outmaneuver, discredit, or just plain smear your opponent. Wrestle with dozens of issues as you blaze your trail to the White House.
The interface has gotten an overhaul to make it more appealing and player friendly.
The primary goal of our Early Access period is to iterate on balance and polish. We fully expect The Political Machine 2016 to incorporate real world political events and evolve as we march toward release."
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
"Nope! What you see is what you pay either in Early Access or after it’s officially released."
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
"Community is so important to us, which is why we choose to offer Early Access. We need your feedback on balance, wishlists for future content, and bug reports. Most of all, we want you to tell us what parts of the game you’re having fun with - and also, what you’re not. We actively read the forums on Steam and at https://forums.politicalmachine.com."
