Hi, this is my first post. I've tried searching for a solution on the forums but could not find it so sorry if this is a repeat.

Playing GalCiv 1 Ultimate edition from steam but I am experiencing a problem where the game crashes when I initiate ship to ship combat, although I've been successful in attacking before it is now a constant problem. I'm looking at playing through the campaigns before the next ones.

I've tried fiddling the compatibility mode to xp service pack 2, running as admin and reducing the colour to 16bit, to no avail. Is there any secret combination to get it to work or any patches/fixes to sort it.
