You are likely to continue to experience this.  The game is one of the first to actually fully use any CPU and cores it can find.  Your laptop is used to the relative inefficiency of other programs and has been getting away with faking it because of their inefficiency.  GalCiv3 will reveal weaknesses in many marginal systems. 

If you are going to continue to torture your poor little laptop because you are addicted to GalCiv, which I would understand, get yourself one of those little laptop coolers that sit under the laptop.  I think they are pretty effective, but your laptop just may not be able to conduct and shed the heat generated from actually doing its job.  The manufacturers never really expected that. 

the Problem with Laptop Coolers is that they have to sit right under the Air-Intakes to get some cooling Effect on CPU / GPU ,second Problem is caused by the Power Limitations from USB Connections - those Fans arent very efficient ,to slow and not enough Air moved into the Laptop - if compared to a regular Fan in a Desktop Computer.

For Example i am using a MSI GE 70 ( not exactly the Best Product if it comes to Heat Management ) it is running @ 70 Degrees Celsius under max Load on GPU/CPU,stable but hot.

With a Laptop Cooler the best Results i could get are 2 or 3 Degrees Celsius lower then without it ( Cooler Master NotePal U3 )

I also tried Products from Thermaltake with the same Results

I use a labtop, and is experiencing a rare freeze. Is that why.

I've got a 256G SSD in my laptop, with a 1T hard drive also.  Got it from a local company named PC Laptops after my last 2 Alienwares died.

Eh, you are aware that a SSD can be installed in a laptop just fine to begin with right? Take out hard drive, put in SSD, install os. Done...

Shame laptops are mostly garbage that don't deserve an SSD in them, but thats besides the point.
