Is there a quick way to import and export xml data with excel?

I would like to be able to tweak ship components via  spreadsheet rather than manually cutting/pasting with notepad++. 

Worse case just importing into excel would at least making data easier to view. When I try now, by default it's staggering the various tags thru the spreadsheet columns and rows instead of one column for each tag. File in link below is a spreadsheet file to see what I'm mentioning.
