Yesterdary, I found my first golden treasure chest with the legendary weapons. I was playing the Tyrant, so my starting hero couldn't use the weapons. No problem I thought, I'll find the two statues and get a melee hero. The first statue I find is the archer and the second the Mage, neither could use the weapons. I allied with the Dwarves and get a crossbowman! I had to look at the two amazing weapons in my inventory for the whole game. So, I started a new game as the Cleric, and my two statues were the Tyrant hero and the Ranger so of course I found the legendary weapons again and couldn't use them. In the dozen or so games I've played, I've never found the weapons when I had a hero who could use them. I'm starting to suspect that this is purposefully designed evil humor on the part of the devs.
