I thought the same thing. I wanted to remove my fleet to another part of my territory, and the auto-path system thought it was a nice idea to roll that fleet through a previously friendly civilization's territory. The got angry me for doing so while all I did was clicking my fleet into another part of MY OWN territory. I think both explorers, surveys etc. and also normal fleets should be more careful about entering enemy territory, especially when the AI is making such a fuss about it.

Plus I think we should be able to bitch to the AI for its ships to leave OUR territory!

One of the few things that bug me is that the AI has some diplomatic options that the player does not have.

They have to implement things such as this for diplomacy or diplomacy is meaningless. Borders need to be respected.

Right now, they have done nearly nothing with Diplomacy other than tech trading - which is something we turn off because it is game unbalancing.  There need to be many Diplomatic options with the ability to break and form treaties and that allow the players and NPCS to interact.

Remember guys, there will be add-ons that will add a lot of content.

That is the most asinine thing I've heard all day and that includes someone complaining that SD was charging full price for a game still technically in beta.

It doesn't seem much different than GalCivII's at it's core and that worked fine. I agree there are a couple things that could be added but just as it is GalCivIII is much better than Civ5, the next closest game in terms of gameplay, and that game has had many years and two expansions as a head start.
