I bought Sins, diplomacy and entrenchment on impulse back in the days, but I would now like to have it under steam since impulse is now gamestop. I can see my serial numbers on my stardock account, but I cannot use these to activate the games on steam. Is there a way?

You should be able to download all of those straight from your downloads page on the Stardock store, no need to use Impulse.
The legacy serial keys are not portable to Steam. Steam only carries Trinity and Rebellion.
