Did anyone ever notice in GalCiv II that it took noticeably longer to get good approval on invaded planets? Not saying it didn't happen, just wondered if anyone noticed if in fact that was how it worked.
Which makes whether:
A: You've invaded a planet originally owned by the Drengin. You enemy. We hate you. See 'ello to my leedle friend!
B: You've invaded a planet originally owned by the Alterians who remember you as a bit of an a-hole. Not as bad as those a-hole Drengin, but don't expect Planet Zoogieboogie III to praise your name. We still mostly hate you.
It would be interesting to be forced to run that particular planet differently from the rest of your empire because of that underlying hatred/indifference ie the game tells you you can't empire-wide rule that a certain tax rate is in place etc and the governor/ruler for that planet suggests lots of free Sports TV for Zoogieboogie III, maybe wait for 20 turns before announcing the tax rate hike for Zoogieboogie III, yes? It'd work even better if the governor/ruler could point out that Zoogieboogie III still has influence over the Drengin planet Wazzadat II and we could get a planet shift if we just wait 20 turns until the Zoogieboogians are happy with us.
