Been playing pretty heavily the last couple of days and I've run across a few oddities/bugs.
1. This seems to be repeatable. I've got a colony ship in the middle of no where upgrading. An AI fighter finds it and attacks it. Game comes up with the battle prompt and as soon as you click on it, the game stops responding. It's trying to do something because the CPU spikes when this occurs. Force quit, reload from last auto save, same thing occurs.
2. Not sure if this was mentioned or not (and I guess technically might not be a bug), but I'm seeing duplicate star names pretty frequently and pretty close together. For example I've got two "Gamgee" stars within basic life support range of my starting system. I know we've got oodles of system names to pick from so it seems odd that it keeps picking the same one more than once and in such close proximity.
3. When set to "Common", Black Hole generation seems to be extremely common. I ran out out of planets to colonize early on in my last game because my corner of the galaxy has an entire ring of black holes basically blocking me in. So I changed it to uncommon and got....

Considering the small portion of the galaxy I have explored, that seems pretty common to me. So looking around (since you can see them without exploring as advised in another post) I see there's a similar cluster of 4 all of the way on the other side of the map (the directly opposite side) and then ONE in roughly the middle. That's it. I guess that would make them uncommon overall.... Are they supposed to be clustered together like this?
4. This may be linked to item one but in the same game as above I've got AI Alteran's and AI Drengan's in close proximity and given my two survey ships were promptly destroyed, I suspect they are fighting a lot. I've noticed the AI turns taking noticeably longer this game than previously games, including other games with this build of the beta.
5. This relates to item 3 but the random map generation still seems a bit off. I know it was brought up in an earlier Alpha stage that some of it seemed off, but it still seems wonky. In the above picture I have Black Holes set to "Uncommon" but Star Frequency, Planet Frequency, and Habitable Planets set to abundant. Admittedly that's a pretty small sample size in the picture but I'm seeing 6 habitable planets compared to 4 black holes. The stars are indeed abundant but the planets seem to be lacking in both quantity and quality.
