To get a "free" ship every turn, from each shipyard you own:
- You must have funds available to insta-buy ONE ship of the desired type.
- Click to select a shipyard.
- Click the quick build button.
- Scroll to the desired ship type, select it.
- Click "buy", not "build".
- The ship will be built at the beginning of the following turn, but funds will NOT be subtracted from your balance.
Makes the game.... a bit easy.
Next up... it is possible to build a constructor vessel with multiple construction modules. This is awesome and would be very useful, but...
- When building a starbase initially, all construction modules past the first are wasted.
- When adding modules to a starbase, when you fly the constructor into the starbase, it seems to get added to the defending fleet, instead of adding the construction modules to the starbase, if the number of modules on the ship exceed the currently available number of projects that could use them.
Planetary invasions seem to always be successful due to an insanely high attacker advantage multiplier.
The battle confirmation dialog is insanely annoying, because it provides no useful information about what battle is occurring. You just click "ok" when it comes up but you don't know where the battle happened, whether you won or lost, and what resources you may have lost. I kind of get the feeling it's just a placeholder, though, so hopefully that will be replaced at some point.
When colonizing multiple planets on the same turn, it first prompts you with the "colonize planet?" dialog once for each arriving colony ship. Then, after all of those dialogs have displayed, it presents the colonization event for the first planet. But at that point there is no indication for which planet the event applies to. If I send ships to a class 26 world that I intend to use as my research capital, at the same time as a nearby class 10 that I'm just going to fill with markets and forget about, it might make a huge difference when the colonization event offers a research bonus or penalty for the various options. If there's any way to have the colonization event screen show the planet name and class, that would help. Otherwise at least process the "colonize planet?" dialog box IMMEDIATELY before processing the related colonization event, rather than in a batch before the first one.
Overall, a very solid game in the making. Keep up the great work!
