I like the tech tree. I assume it's going to be changed a lot in the future, but I like the direction it's going to. I like the animation in the researched technologies. It doesn't only look good but it conveys the information that you are done researching this and that technology. 

I will probably add to this thread as I play with it a bit more, but for now I would like to make a suggestions. Can you make it so that when you double click one of the four options/sections on the left of technologies, it opens up the whole tech tree? It would save a few seconds clicking a smaller target in an obscure corner!
