Started up another game, started exploring.  Galaxy seemed to have an abnormally high amount of good quality planets (PQ 20+), not sure if that's relevant or not.  Colonized one of them and it popped up asking what I wanted to do with the pods.  Naturally I went with the evil option.  It took me to the planet screen and I laid out my initial structure production.  Clicked done and then it popped up with a precursor ship window.  I gave it my answer and it took me back to the planet screen.  In addition to the build queue I just set up being gone, the planet stats were a bit peculiar...

Went back to the galaxy screen and see the planet is there twice with separate stats and different progress on the current build item, but double clicking on it takes you to the same planet.  Then I realized none of the details on the side planet list match what you see when you click on a planet.

Oh, and if you look in the top corner, you'll see it also broke my bank account.  Yahtzee.  LOL.  Anyone else run into this?
