So i checked the search function about this but couldnt find any real hits.
Something seems wonky scaling wise when creating new ships. I created 2 ships (a Starfury fighter and a Hyperion-Class Heavy Cruiser for those Babylon 5 fans out there)
Now the Starfury fighter I used the tiny cockpit and only small components turned out well, with the exception of its relatively large for a tiny model on the map. Now I assume this is because it is scaled to fill the whole hex (of the map hexes) which is not really a problem the model turned out fine and I'm happy to look at its bloated size in the map viewer.
The problem I'm faced with is the second model I created a Hyperion-Class Heavy Cruiser which is long and relatively narrow. It was created using a medium hull and medium components so in reality it should be much larger than my tiny fighter, but because it is scaled to fit within the dimensions of the hex appears very small/thin.
Now i realize these has to be restraints on the size of ships so they occupy only 1 hex but, in the planet builder section and the small window in the bottom left of the screen when you select your ship my medium hulled heavy cruiser is diminutive. I'm not sure if this has been addressed before but there is no reason to scale the ships down in the planet builder screen and the ship display window, let us view them in their actual size not shrunken down.
I hope that makes sense without pictures but im to lazy to post anything up right now.
