First of all I'd like to say that for an alpha the game is really stable. Played a whole game on small today and not one crash.
Obviously at this stage not a feature complete game but what's there is fairly good.
One area that needs a lot of work is the colony screen. The terrain types on the hex tiles don't line up with the terrain on the planet surface map. Also it took a while to figure out while I kept building things on the wrong tile. When you have selected a type of tile you can't build on yet and try and build on it the game should tell you that you can't. Once you have selected to build something it should stay as a shadow until you have finished building it.
On research i want a pop up preferably with a scientist of my race in it explaining what i just got when I complete a project. I also think specialisms come to early in the tech trees.
On ideology i feel that once you have progressed a way down one tree there should be an increasing penalty of unrest for progressing down another.
Those are my initial thoughts anyway.
