I wanted to start by saying I am super excited! Love Stardock, and 4x games in general.

In the Alpha, I cannot touch anything in the main menu (options, customize) without crash to desktop. If I go straight to a game, often none of the tooltips or even the text within a box appear at all.

I am VERY much hoping that there will be video explanation/pop-up when research is complete - that's one of the things I loved in Galciv2, and I can't stand it when 4x games relegate research breakthroughs to a notification in the turn log! Let there be music! and maybe a spinning component model!

Also, I would just be so sad if you were absolutely forced to specialize in tech. Remember Morrowind? If you wanted to put the time and energy into being awesome at everything, you could - it just took extra time. PLEASE just maybe penalize going down multiple research paths, but don't limit us choice-wise there. Epic choices like that could/should/would be left to the ideology tree IMO.
