Our current code does not yet have a way to restrict who can see games in the mulitplayer game list.  As a result, it's possible while you guys are looking for a game to join, you might see some games set up by devs for testing something real quick and be able to join them.

This is an apology for past and future times when one of us falsely gets your hopes up about being able to join a multiplayer game, only for the host to bail from the lobby.  We would warn you beforehand if the current build allowed us to.  So sorry from Raa00 and stardockRaa for my part, and sorry from any other devs.  For whatever reason, we aren't allowed to follow through and just play the game with you guys all day .
