5830 HD X2 Crossfire.

 

All settings on highest, Ambient Occlusion Off = 40-50 FPS

Ambient Occlusion On = 20-25 FPS.

 

Disappointing to be frank if performance stays this way.

Initially, I've only had a problem with the install, the font issue, but otherwise everything has seemed to load and display correctly, but I haven't been in it long.  Will attempt a longer investigation later today.

Just to remember screen display is 1920 x 1080 on a 10 inch screen (16/9).

The game runs pretty well so far.

 

I play with a mouse beacause the game is clearly not ready for touchscreen. Too bad, I hope it will change in the future. The way Civilization V handles touchscreen is a good example of what I would await.

The main problem is in game commands are too small to touch.

Okay, here is my system:

P8Z68 Deluxe, i7 2700k @4.7GHz, EVGA GTX570HD 314.22s, 16gb DDR3 2130, 1000W PS, Onboard sound, 32" Bravia XBR, Win7Pro64

 

And running FRAPS as a benchmark I got this while doing all sorts of things from zoom in and out to max extremes, building stuff, engaging in battles, and I even alt tabbed to the desktop and did some stuff and went back in:

Was able to run the game fine, but found that it would always cause my laptop's internal fan to run at maximum, causing me to be hesitant about playing the game due to fear of overheating the computer. Have not had this issue with other graphic intensive games, like Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion and Starcraft II. Also found out that the game did not use the nVidia graphics card, and probably used the Intel HD Graphics. Was wondering if there was some way to enable Galactic Civilizations III to run on the nVidia graphics card. Any feedback would be appreciated!

 

Other than that, I'm pretty much in love with the game and graphics!
