Sorry. Maybe I missed this in the bazillion forum posts that would take galciv weeks to read. 

Was there like an email or something for founders to download the alpha or find out that it was released or know what the serial was or something or anything? In my constant watching over the past few days did I somehow miss the mail that apparently everyone else got? 

 

#craving also perhaps just somehow stupider than everyone else.

Read the forums. Realized that after a decade I do in fact have a stardock.com account. Logged in. I have the serial. Do I not also need a download or something? As in, perhaps, some files installed on my PC into which I input the serial # ?  Like, maybe a link to some kind of file?

You have to activate the key on Steam. If you don't have an account, you have to create one. Then, when in Steam, go to "Games" along the top menu bar and select "Activate a Product on Steam". From there your download should start right away.

Got it. So I have to 'activate' before it shows up on steam as a downloadable thing in my library? 

 

I've been playing these games since CGA monitors. I'm not an idiot. Forgive me Brad but nothing thus far seems overtly intuitive.
