@sareth...
Emo much?
I wasn't ridiculing you--just agreeing. Yes, I had no common sense when I before I joined the military--duh. My point was common sense goes up a notch in the military when you work in places where things explode and cook you like a lobster from the inside out in less than in thirty seconds. In those sort of situations, the phrase, "Run!" takes on a whole new meaning.
And by the way, at five I was in a foxhole in Vietnam keeping my whole platoon alive during the Tet offensive.
Okay, lets get into the communication breakdown analysis. Here is where it broke down.
When a person with a tense face running at full speed shoots past you and says, "RUN!"--do it without stopping to figure out why 'cause they sure as heck won't stop then to explain it to you.
You are replying to my post, yet you are using it as a command. You may think this irrelevant, yet this comes across as a negative implication. That is the tone and actual use of your language. "do it" is a command, plain and simple. This is precisely where you imply that you are giving me advice, which is not welcome.
If you desire to agree, simply agree. This medium of communication doesn't do well with implications, which is why so much negativity is thrown around. Also reinterpretation only serves to discredit you, as anyone with the ability to "sit in another's shoes" would see the logic of what i've said.
There is nothing emotional about it, if you had been face to face i would have asked you politely to shut the fuck up(but then that is a different communication medium). Nothing emotional about it...fighting is a natural form of male communication. I don't get emotional when I fight. I only project emotion into my opponent to force them to start thinking emotionally so that I can kick their ass(a trick i learned as a foster child, survival tactic). Its worked many times, mainly on the weak minded. This is also another reason why I was so talented at soccer, i'm great at getting into people's heads and unmaking them in front of their entire team. I would get emotional about the situation if I didn't stand up for myself.
I don't let anyone tread on me for a moment, I am much like the old American flag that says "Don't Tread on me". I don't care if its a tiny little brush up against my scales, you'll get bitten. This is similar to the legal philosophy that by touching someone against their will, you have assaulted them. In the instance of what you said above, you have implied that you were giving me advice, and i'll not stand for it, as it wasn't asked. I felt like my person was being marginalized by your words and therefore I was being "touched" against my will. If you want to laugh at the fact that I feel, I will laugh at the fact that you also feel. its a lose lose situation, so why do you create it in the first place? Go hurry up and play the victim so that you can rely on social stupidity to save your argument.
