i have been trying to figure out how to reposition the log in bar,i dunno what it is actually called...

If you are trying this in for Windows 7 then it's not possible to move.
forgive me for not verifying my OS.
I am currently running vista home premium.
Same for Vista and Win7. Only on XP can you make more significant changes to the logon screen.
