It's Adware, shortly before it froze i had ads coming out of my taskbar for something completely unrelated to the application i purchased. It's an unwanted and non-essential program.
It also totally messed up my dock that had been working for 3 years, so i have paid for 2 docks and now got none i will NOT use a Stardock product again. This sort of rubbish is a discredit to the software industry, i paid for an application i want to download it, punch in my serial or whatever and use the flipping thing!
Here i am 8 hours later, no software, the way i have used my system for the last 3 years is destroyed, money gone and a company insisting i install their Adware on my system and a waste of a day when i have much better things to do.
No thanks, there is docks i can download instantly for free which i'll be doing once "support" finally get back to me with my refund.
<EVEN THE BOARD IS BUGGY AND GOES TO SOME ERROR PAGE AND POSTS TWICE>
LOL!!!
Dude, your PC is messed up. I find it hilarious that you think Impulse did this to your system. I've installed and used Impulse (together with ObjectDock) over many operating systems and on many occasions and NEVER had one single problem. The fact that you say the you "had ads coming out of my taskbar for something completely unrelated to the application" and that you think Impulse was the cause shows me how much (or little) knowledge you have regarding PC's. So stop your litte rage-rant and try to figure out what else could have gone wrong. If millions of people are using this software without any issues it's quite simple to deduce that something is wrong on your side. Stardock isn't your local tech-department.
So you want 10$ back because you screwed something up? That's funny....
Try adjusting your attitude and then you can ask for help. I think the Stardock member(s) that replied to your (very arrogant and rude) post were very helpful in the advice they gave you, but you would have none of it...YOU were clearly wronged by this "rubbish" that is a "discredit to the software industry". Grow up! I would suggest that in the future, you actually read before you buy and make sure that you know what the requirements are. Surely with ALL of your experience with "thousands of softwares" you should have learnt this by now?
And to the other complainers out there...you have paid not just for the final product - you paid for the BETA version as well. You can't expect everything to be perfect when participating in a beta...that's what the beta is for...much less ask for your money back. If you wanted a perfect product, you should have waited patiently for the final version to be released. Stardock was very clear on what you were purchasing, so you have no-one to blame but yourself. I'm so sick of people thinking that everyone and/or the world owes them something.
As for me - I'm enjoying the product very much, thank you Stardock. I also have the bug of certain system tray icons not displaying (even though there's a list item for it to display) and some not being clickable, but I'm sure this was already brought up in the Beta discussion thread.
Oh and PS...
"...and a company insisting i install their Adware on my system and a waste of a day when i have much better things to do."
-I'm still giggling over this...
