I had more kills it was all about the lack of teamwork, he would always get away because i had none!

I've only got the chance to crush him with a spit beast once but he was one the phone that game so I guess it doesn't count lol. I've tried to get him to play it vs me a few other times, he usually has peter on his team though so he doesn't, I guess I can understand since it pains peter so much to separate his monks. 

2 of my deaths were because my oak watched me die 2v1. I couldn't believe the time when you and erebus were in a parade of our giants fighting me and he was standing at the center flag doing nothing watching me die. That was a funny game.

I will continue to play my Oooooooozzzzzzzzzeeeeeeeeee beast until I think another build is superior, I only play ooze beast against certain line ups because I find other demigods better at countering than spit beast. Oooze beast is a very stupid choice against a rook for example.

You should play Ooze when we play against each other.

Well - I had a somewhat unfortunate run in with xynth today.  http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/1359916/player/28414/.  I was informed that I suck if I'm not on a mic and that he didn't know why I think I'm so great. Anyway, I don't mind criticism of my playstyle, and I'm not going to tear down how he played in the game at all, but I did want to address a few things.  First, for those of you that don't know, I drew a bit on animosity from some of the folks in the lagwars crowd as a result of poor behavior on my part.  I was pretty rude and berating to some folks for how they played in some games and I was certainly in the wrong.  Regardless of how competitive I like to be, bitching about players over and over is unacceptable and I behaved unacceptably in MANY games over the past 2 months or so.  And to be clear, if someone on my team did something that I thought was foolish (whether or not it was truly foolish in reality), I'd give them an earful... and not in a helpful way, but more in the WTF way.  And I wouldn't let up.  In short, it SUCKED to play on my team and I lost track that its just a game and people do play it to have fun.  So.  To any of you that I was an absolute dick to (I was), I am sorry.  You didn't deserve to be treated that way.

But I'll continue this line of thinking a little more. 

I had an interesting conversation in vent with cow 4 days ago and thought I might hash it out.  We were playing a 3v3 game where cow was on my team (http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/1356536/player/28414/).  He died alot during the game.  It happens, but he certainly APPEARED to be the weak link in our team.  I'll take a moment now to state that I supported cow in moving up to tier 1, so I don't think he's a slouch.  Anyway, our team was in trouble because cow = the guy you kill for money to the other team. 

Anyhow, the game did not end as some colossal blow out.  It was actually pretty unique.  Cow had like 8 deaths (let that sink in... 1 guy on a team had 8 DEATHS) with me and our teammate with 1 and 2.  The other team looked really similar 6 (let that sink in - 2 less than cow) and 1 and 2.  It really seemed during that game like cow had screwed our team due to his deaths.  Hmmm.   Those or you that have played with me in the past - do you think I was vocal about him dying all the time?  The interesting part was that I really wasn't.  I know cow's a good player, so I mostly just busted his chops from time to time (all in a joking matter - not a in pacov "WTF ARE YOU DOING GO TO BASE YOU IDIOT" sort of way).  Anyway, I thought the comments cow made were quite interesting and telling during the game.  First, cow thought I was serious as all get out when I'd say hey cow - try to avoid 3v1's, etc.  He made another comment that made me think - I got the impression from whatever he said that he thinks I think that I might be greatest and unbeatable.  Hmmm. 

So, two guys in 4 days, all from our little lagwars crew, quite pissed and ready to attack me out of the gate.  I'm pretty sure that if anything but a positive comment came out of my mouth, cow would have snapped at me and the same goes for xynth.  In my game with Xynth, I said, LET'S GET 1 FLAG AND LOCK IT.  I said that twice as we were getting dominated (at 2 diff points).  What is logical strategy to me is calling other players noobs apparently.  But again, I understand that I pissed off some folks on lagwars... I was a dick... etc. 

Anyway, fair enough.  Onto a discussion of my skills. My next point will take a moment to develop...  STOP.  What thread are you reading?  What's that?  Pacov's list of tier 1, tier 2, and players to be avoided.  Why the hell would you want to read a noobs list of players that he thinks are good/bad/too be avoided?  Let me try this another way.  Do any of you think that Rawrrrr thinks he's a lousy player or useless outside of lagwars?  How about anyone in the tier 1 list.  Do you think, for a second, that those players think they are good... better than you even?  What?  Pacov is the list, though nominated for it by others?  And he, too, thinks he's a better player than many folks?  Impossible.  Will ANYONE win with a weaker team, regardless of how awesome they are in Demigod?  I'd argue no.  A stronger player can (AND HAS TO) compensate for weaker players.  So, right there - a clear and obvious admittance that if I have a weaker team I will lose in most cases.  Does that have ANY bearing on my skill level?  No.  It would happen to any tier 1 in most circumstances. 

Anyway - on equal teams - yes, I think I am a better player than MANY folks.  Plenty of people are in the same boat as me.  Its not arrogant to say that I play the game better than many folks.  You probably do too.  I play alot of games against alot of people, and I feel I have a good grasp on who is good and who isn't quite on the same level.  Hence the list.

And to go a little further yet - Back when we were all trying to play together on lagwars, I changed my tune a bit.  I decided that I don't care if we play together in order to get a game going.  So, we'd have a premade team of 4, I'd switch to the other team.  Boom.  Pacov gets a loss.  I do this enough, my win % drops from >85% down to > 60%.  I didn't mind at all, because I HATE the LOBBY GAME more than anything else.  Put me on team lose, just let me play.  Anyway, that's my 2 cents on why players that have beaten me think they have a chance in hell of beating me and probably qualify me as < tier 1.  Happy to convince you otherwise through beatings.  GM took one the other day.  Kalel and Rawrrr the day after.  That was 7 days ago.  Hmm...  I'll lose to those folks again at some point, surely, but I'll also win again.  What does that tell any of you... Anyway, kicking my ass on a weak team doesn't mean you are better than me or that I suck (anymore than me kicking your ass on some chumps team).  Kicking my ass on a reasonably even team would mean that you are great... and like McShane, that hasn't happened to me in > 6 months.

Anyway - sorry for being a shite while i watched my grandma die.  She's dead now.  I expect to have a little bit of shite coming for being so mean while all of that was going on.  That's fair.  If you are dick, you should be treated like shit.  I trust you won't finding me behaving like a jerk for some time to come now.

At the start, I was telling Cow "I'm gunna get Pacov to interrupt a whole bunch of obvious fireballs to run him OOM"

Aaaaaaand it was working...but then I realized that if I juked it...you'd spend the mana and I'd get the fireball! I guess I was higher then I thought.

One thing playing with old-timers - the meta in this game moves subtly, but it becomes really clear that the community has upped its play when you see ancient, once-respected builds completely fail ^^ 

Absolutely, though it's a bit sad when you see the old timer dusting up a minion build and then getting absolutely smoked by someone playing UB with health stacking and sigils. Seriously UB is so simple and so incredibly OP, you can't be really good with UB, you know that health>all, and how to rightclick.

That is one of the funner parts of being a tb vs an oak.  Plus because you had a little advantage with teams, you were going to be in a position to do whatever you wanted. 

I'll second STFNG. He has a good Oak.

If you guys can find so much drama in a RTS game like Demigod, I don't ever want to play with you guys in a MMO.
