But I assume anyone asking for help or advise on this forum is playing against the AI inless otherwise stated.
From what I can tell, the single player/online multiplayer ratio on these forums is about evenly split, 50-50, 40-60, 60-40, or some such. Forums like this are self-selecting for people who play online since they tend to seek out interaction with other players anyway, at least that's my take on it, which means that probably 99.9% of everyone (about 1 million people?) who bought Sins don't post on this forum and most of them have probably never done more than take a casual glance at it. (Even 0.1% of 1 million purchasers still comes out to 1000 people, and I'm pretty sure that 1000 people don't post here.)
It would actually be interesting to see Stardock's statistics on how many individual CD keys have been registered with Impulse compared to the number of hardcopies of the game that were sold. That is to say, what percentage of hardcopy purchasers ever registered their game with Impulse? I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's a shockingly small percentage and that most purchasers are playing single player Sins v1.00 and have never heard of Impulse, Entrenchment, or Diplomacy.
Frogboy, do you have these statistics?
