Try Windows 7 for 90 days!

Microsoft released Trial version of Windows 7 Enterprise edition. You can download the Windows and run it for 90 days. It is the RTM version, if you want to try go and download it.

After 90 days it goes into "limited usage" mode. What does that mean, exactly? I do have an unused 80GB Harddrive in my machine, might aswell give it a try.

This will happen.

 

The 90-day Trial will shut down once every hour when you have reached the end of the 90-day evaluation period.

That's inconvenient i'm sure Microsoft will be getting a lot of help desk questions saying Windows 7 is glitched when their trial runs out.

I don't think so... I'm quite sure it'll toss up a banner both at start and shutdown telling the user they need to buy a license.

Thanks, have pre ordered 7 but had not got round to see how would run on PC (xp) first look this looks good running better than Vista on my laptop.

Windows 7 is OUTSTANDING.  I am running Enterprise edition at work.  It is lighthing fast; far better than Vista and I rather liked Vista.  I will definitely be upgrading my home PC to W7.

Support for Stardock programs. They dropped XP 64 a while back.

Lets not get into to the XP to Vista new features and improved performance shall we.

If he is quite happy with his version of windows why upgrade? As long as the OS does what he needs the computer to do.

I for one will be upgrading my OS to Win 7 and why not. Everyone has positive things to say about it.

I would think sooner or later updating drivers or installing new hardware may be an issue,but until then use what works for you.
