Greetings all:

Love the game's potential, but my friend and I have had great difficulties playing the game together:

• LAN game won't work over our VPN; our network subnets are different (10.xx.yy.zz and 192.168.aa.bb).  Not a problem with Supreme Commander because we can specify an IP, but Demigod doesn't seem to work well with it.  When he PPTP's to my network, he still can't see the game.
• When trying to play Internet games, 2 out of 3 attempts get NAT failure errors.
• Alt tabbing out of the game to check things like firewall rules and network status tends to give fatal errors in the game.
• The games we do manage to connect, my friend is getting significant lag errors.  Not sure why, given he's got cable broadband and other games (including SupCom) seem fine.

Rather than rant and rave about it, or get frustrated by continuing to try to play the game, we're just going to sit out a week and see how things improve.  I really hope it does; I'd rather not consider my game purchase (both for myself and a friend) a mere donation to a company who's products I've traditionally enjoyed.
