In the entirety of your reply you didn't ANSWER my question at all, you skirted the issue and simply responded to the SARCASTIC remark I made at the very end of my post....
Quoting the_Monk, reply 25
See, but that actually IS the problem......
When did it become okay to TAKE something when one can't/won't afford to BUY it?
Or has it become IF I can't simply TAKE something I want, then I'll evaluate if I can/will afford it?
Either way, that is a sad statement about our society and doesn't bode well for our future, period. Forget morality (high-ground etc. etc.), it's bad economics, plain and simple!

P.S. - (sarcastic jibe)
Maybe we should blame piracy for the world's current economic decline, it's about time they paid for something. /sarcasm
once again, why should it EVER be okay to simply TAKE what one wants?
Raised prices and not having money to buy things are not reasons to simply TAKE things, they are poor "rationalizations" for poor behaviour. How about NOT having/enjoying something because one doesn't have or doesn't want to spend the money?
Do you really want to suggest that if someone can't/won't spend money on something that they should simply TAKE it then, so as not to be without? Doesn't that turn possessing something into a RIGHT then instead of the PRIVILEGE it actually should be?
Please really read my post and ANSWER my question if you're going to quote me.
the Monk
maybe you should be the one to read my post again ?
"And no its not ok to take anything , but i will not condone people who have it hard when they do it and it doesnt hurt any1 , i would never allow any1 of my friends to try to make money by ripping someone off or taking something which cant be replaced.
On the second question ... hmm well if a demo isnt supplied or a cd isnt available to listen to i would actually think it would be ok to try it out , if you dont keep it afterwards i guess . As i said in an earlier statement , i download underground music , its not available on radio, spotify,or any other rent/buy a song on the internet , i download cds , then i buy bulk maybe 20 cds every 2 months , they cost approx 4-10 uk pounds a cd . "
answer to your 2 questions ?
the sarcastic remark you made i answered with two sentences with smileys at the end to show that i did not have any hostility in my post.
"and well the econimic downfall was caused by greedy corporations/stockholders/ceos
so well there again you can see the issue at hand
"
so if you want to say something else in response to my answers to the questions sure post again , but plz dont go putting me down when i clearly answered your questions?
want easier to read answers
1: it has never become "ok" but when it doesnt hurt any1 and helps another i dont condone
2: Its ok imo if you try it out decide if its good then buy it or delete it , many times you dont wanna throw out money without knowing what you get.

as for this , i refer to my first answer , As long as it doesnt hurt anyone why should someone need to live a poorer cultural life due to "sickness/economic instabilities in the country", its never "OK" to go against copy infringment but that doesnt mean i condone people who do.
And i have never stated anything about the gaming industri about this , as i dont want to hold a discussion about that on a gaming forum , this is for books/music/movies .
all my friends pay for their games as we all play online and want the best out of our gaming experiences.
