strange thing on planets

When I colonize some planets & search them i get a deadly secret resources with population growth -1000 & planet health -10000. Is there a way to get around this & be able to use the planet or is there no way around it & the planet is permanently dead?

That planet "bonus" is only found on mods not vanillia Soase. Which means if you wanted to, you could take it out of the mod files (just dont ask me where they are, check with whomever you downloaded the mod)

I usually just reload last saved game and avoid searching that planet.

I removed it from the mods I play with this:

In the mod's GameInfo folder look for a file called PLANETBONUS_GAMEOVER.entity (I think it's called) and delete it. For Entrenchment mods you also have to edit the entity.manifest file (in the mod's main folder). Decrease the count at the very top by 1 and delete the line entityName "PLANETBONUS_GAMEOVER.entity". That's it, the mod will now load without that "bonus".

I don't want to get rid of all the bonuses but I do want to get rid of the deadly secret bonus! Is there to get rid of that 1?

I think he's saying PLANETBONUS_GAMEOVER.entity is that particular planet bonus.

I found that file & deleted it but afterward all it caused was a mini dump even when i  tried to apply the mod there was a mini dump so i had to replace the entire mod....

Did you adjust the .manifest file as specified above? That's how I got it to work.
