I have had the same problems, the fix that worked is as blair said REMOVE ALL CUSTOM MAPS & mods from both the docs & settings/user galaxy AND the program files galaxy

{edit} the maps have changed and added new line in relation to the new quickstart ability that the devs added, and they forgot to change the versionnumber because of the significant change in the file structure of the galaxy file

[edit 2] the devs have also added an explicit starting level for infrastructure onto each planet. from all of these changes I would have EXPECTED the map versionnumber to have changed in comarison to the minor changes that happened between ver 1.00 map ver0 to 1.10 map ver 2 where you could load the maps just by changing the version number to 2

ok i found one of them... so does this mean that all old custom galaxies dont work with the new version?

Im guessing they wont cuz of the changes.

They are hidden by default. Make sure you check show hidden files in your options.

update your impule, personally i think you would be better off sticking to 1.13 for the moment

i've had to reinstall both sins = entichment though stardock the other day to get update, both are showing up but that probelm now after closing impulse and restarting it, both games, try and load, black screen for 1 sec then back to normal no error, ? help

I've just done a verrify install it says its installed correctly though stardock but or should i say impulse but what should i do now ?

ok this is getting rediculus , i have now done a update about 1.5 meg update to entichment after it said new update for files, now its telling me that it found old entrichment files on sins and wont load. stupid. next ?

next. ok, i got sick of impulse telling me that entchment old files still sitting in directorys so i kill directorys and re downloading what fun.

yes thsis is the porblem, the map file format has changes significantly, but the map version info did not change, the devs could have prevented this by bumping the map version to 3 from 2

Thanks, my update worked fine after impulse starting working properly. Also I had no maps, mods, or entrenchment, so sins update worked fine.

tore sins directory a enw one, and reinstalled both, i have got them working thanks for indescresion, but pplz just as a reminder kill everything in the directory when uninstalling sins from 1.13 so that it doesnt pick up anything old ya
