Entrenchment Delayed :(

Public relations representatives for Stardock today confirmed to Voodoo Extreme that Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment has been delayed.

Originally due for release next Tuesday, the $9.99 mini-expansion will now be available exclusively to Impulse users next January, thereby bypassing the bonkers Christmas rush.

I'm guessing they have a good reason for it, but this makes me a sad panda.  I was really hoping this was going to spark another series of epic SoaSE battles with my friends.  [Playing with people who are in yelling distance is amazingly fun.]

I'm disappointed. I hope they have a beta so I can feel better about pre-ordering. I know the money doesn't come out of my account right away, but I'm wondering what the benefit of the pre-order is without getting an early glimpse of the product?

wow... I already was expecting a delay but another two month ?!

this must be a bad joke, especially to those who pre-ordered.

I was already planning some nice weekends with my buddies to rule the galaxy.  

please, some official word that this is not true would be nice!

Well, if it is true I would be disappointed not because it's delayed, but because we'd only find out a week before its original set date, and from a third party site no less. One would think if it was not ready for release then that would be obvious long before the 1-week marker. But even if the decision was just made, it doesn't take much to drop by and make a quick post before some random site reports it

Thanks Yarlen Still sucks to find out just the week before (I was looking forward to Entrenchment about as much as FO3, which I took half a day off work for and the next week off to give an idea..), but to be honest the reason for the delay doesn't surprise me. I think the 1.1 patch cut into the possible beta test time that I'm sure IC/SD wanted in the first place, and I'd rather Entrenchment go through a beta test to iron out the quirks before its release.

As long as we get the 1.1 patch official I dont really care, at the moment cant even get a game on multiplayer so that should be their priority before adding new content. Plus at least they are going to give us a highly polished product even if it is a little late, better than a peice of software which is so buggy that cockroaches start crawling out your dvd drive.

Something pretty serious must have been found to delay it two months with less than 7 days left before release. I was looking forward to it next week too . Oh well.

IC/SD better compensate that huge let down with a new toy for us modders to play with (like final version of 1.1 like someone already wrote) or the rip of some hardcodes! Or better yet, the ability to cloak!!!!

Something please....or I'm gonna be pissed and show it to you by not posting for a week on the forums! LOOOOL

Just kidding but please something to up our moods (or at least mine) might be appreciated!!
