The Political Machine 2008 Countdown Gadgets

To help count down the days until the release of the upcoming PC game, The Political Machine 2008, I created these gadgets for your desktop.  One gadget will run on any XP or Vista desktop, and the other is for the Windows Vista Sidebar.

Is this countdown gadget Stardock's way of telling us that there will be no beta releases? I am concerned that Stardock staff has not been forthright about updating us on beta release dates. Honestly, I would understand if you needed to delay things. Just let us know where things stand.

I preordered under the assumption there was going to be a public beta, yet the release is a month behind schedule and there hasn't been a significant update about its release since. I would greatly prefer information regarding the status of the beta to a likely inaccurate countdown.

I understand that Twilight of the Arnor and Sins of a Solar Empire needed some patching but do you really have to keep us in the dark about Political Machine 2008?

No kidding. I've always been impressed with Stardock's support, but this site has been disappointingly bereft of info. I pre-ordered thinking I would get the beta awhile ago, and think it would be most considerate for someone to take two minutes out of their schedule to give us a measly update.
