1. Guardian abilities. Repulsion needs to simply be eliminated and distortion field is overpowered.
Distortion field is a subverter ability. Repulsion is overpowered in some sense, but doesn't need to be removed. Simply change it so that cap ships don't get affected and that the repulsion doesn't send ships far far beyond the range of repulsion.
2. Subverter. Overpowered.
agreed. Needs to be changed so that it can't stun unlimited targets when they're clumped together. Should be at max... say 4-8
3. Malice + Brilliance. Overpowered.
It's slightly overpowered in its effectiveness, but it's counterable. The way to counter it is to get a cap that can stun, or disable casting. Yes - you ONE cap to counter a MULTI CAP combo. I think that's pretty fair. If you see the malice + brilliance combo getting set up, get your anti cap.
4. Strike craft do not change speed between slow, normal, and fast settings.
yeah, that's probably a bug. Definately makes strikecraft go from bad to terrible on fast settings.
5. Flak are far too efficient in destroying strike craft.
yeah, unless you have repulsion to blow the flak around, strikecraft aren't very useful.
6. Heavy Cruisers do too much damage to light frigates (considering these are to be a counter to HC)
light frigates are the counter to support vessels, not to HC's. HC's should be able to crush light frigates.
7. Shield mitigation is not high enough.
disagree, it's already at the point where it takes forever to whittle down large blobs of HC's and other high HP ships. If shield mitigation was higher, it would be to easy to replace fallen ships.
8. Culture spreads far too slowly and not far enough. (the rate at which planets lose / gain alliance with culture needs to be *slightly* raised, but is pretty close to ideal...the problem is mainly culture takes far too long to move through phase lanes and only reaches so far).
agreed - culture, as it is now, is useless except as a boost for your own allegiance.
9. All three races need their tech trees adjusted to make more interesting choices and upgrades.
Agreed - the game lacks depth and strategic choices.
10. Carriers need their cost reduced (especially drone hosts)
I don't think they need their cost reduced, they just need to be effective for their cost.
11. Many of the changes in 1.04 have addressed many of my concerns (Illums, black market, more resources)~2 cents
