Hello fellow SINS,
I’m making this post to send a shout out to all those involved in the making of the game (Stardock/Ironclad/Etc.).
“There's a blissful nirvana strategy gamers yearn for, even though experiencing it usually involves a considerable loss of sleep along with a steep drop in productivity for days on end. Sins of a Solar Empire is one of those rare games that can deliver an incredibly addictive experience that devours a healthy chunk of your life, and you won't mind a bit.”
-Quote from Gamespot Review.
I had never heard of Ironclad/Stardock until the release of this title and was slightly skeptical in what I would expect. Before I go out and purchase a game I always read reviews through Gamespot / IGN / PC Gamer / Etc. I found myself browsing through all of the top-name game review sites and hearing nothing but good news in regards to SINS, most of the reviews giving ~9/10. I had to test it out for myself. I took the lazy-gamer route and picked up a copy through the online download straight from the SINS main website.
All I can say is I have been playing this game since shortly after release and I’m hooked. I had been looking for a good strategy game for quite some time and was overly impressed with the product you have been able to pump out. The online play is ten times more fun than I had expected it to be, which makes up for the lack of a single player campaign. With the exception of some minor online bugs/problems (moar patchiz prz), SINS is more then enjoyable, it’s addictive to the core.
I’ll be looking forward to any new content that may be added in the near future and hope to see more and more people playing online as the time goes by.
Cheers,
