Theres deffinently some problems with this game, First off the the 3 or 4 tutorials are quite lacking giving you information on grouped jumps and what the chart to the left means and thats about it. Also the tech tree in my veiw seems almost pointless except for colonizing. ive had my ship,hull,sheilds, and weapons fully upgraded and still seem to get killed by 2 capital ships that are much lower grades than the 4 i use to kill them with which doesnt workout for me somehow i may be overdoing it on that one but its just an example. the pirate raids are pointless and just slow me down (i have gotten a mod to get rid of them thank god) since the enemy seems to attck while i busy building a defense at the planet the raiders attack, also how do i lose 30 or so ships to a smalller force of 10 or 20 when mine are fully upgraded? i dont believe the computers was at the time, also why are there limits to defense you can build or structures around a planet? when i reach max amounts of each theres tons of extra space where i would love to build more defensces at, i mean really if i have the money then why the hell not? that is really what i dislike most, i perfer to on any RTS game is to fortify one main area and then futher expand outwards once i feel content with my defences, usually id just put my military behind my defences and build them up while my wall so to speak takes out the enemy in my territory and thus allow me to to send my forces to him afterwards for a major counter attack, this game doesnt allow to do such a think with so small an amount of defences so i believe that the tech tree is 75% useless and the whole planet building for my needs at least are just plain sad. about the units i just wish there were more attack roles and not so many support roles but they do add alot to the main fighters by healing or repair said units or sending bombers and such so that is a better part of the game.... more defenses or no *tactical* slots and just allowing you to build as many defenses as u want would really improve this game for me
