I did aware that Gal Civ is a turn based game.

I would always pick a RTS over a turn based strategy.



Yeah,this may be one of the great games in the game industry and i know IC and Stardock will fix almost all this bugs in the game.

I have confidence in them and they wont give us a half assed ai.If not,someone might fix it in a AI mod for Sins.

lol I agree, I hate when people throw that term to describe a game too often. Sins is a very very polished game but not perfect. It is constantly being updated with patches too. Now saying you are paying for beta would have been accurate months ago, sins is still a quality product, more so many titles on the market today.

I find that I play more often as a single player than Multi. I think perhaps when I am much better at the game I will dare to take on more strangers than close friends. Even if I only was able to use single player from here on out though I would still love it as a game.

I hate when people refer to something as "very very polished" and in the very next sentence acknowledge it is "constantly being updated with patches." If it were really very, very polished that wouldn't be necessary would it?

It's not as though those constant patches are simply adding extraneous fluff...

Perhaps the term "beta" is indeed thrown around with reckless abandon at times but I think the fact that people are taking exception to the term being used in conjunction with this game is more a reflection of the relentless lowering of the bar (of expectations of game release) more than the fact that the game is truly "finished." Clearly, it's not... especially for single player.

I'm old enough to remember when games worked and didn't need a series of patches to be playable on release... perhaps it's a result of the growing complexity of computer game software or maybe it's a result of cash-strapped developers. I dunno, but few games released today are done.

I don't mean to suggest that because it's still not finished that it's not going to be a great game... rather, that it's simply not there yet.
