Well, I plan on buying Sins soon, I believe my Computer would play it. But there is still once thing that bugs me. . .
Will my CD-Key work?
I've been reading and lurking in the forums, learning strategys and about units.(Like Siege Spams, or faulty Diplomacy)
But I've still continued to hold my Money, waiting for when I can go and buy it. I plan on buying it at my Local EB-Games. But I've recently read a thread stating that people will take the CD-Key from the Case, as EB-Games has a Open Case rule. Normally, I would not be too stressed. It's just that their return policy on Online games makes me worry. I meen, what are the odds of getting a Invalid/used CD-Key? And should I go through extra lenghs to get a un-opened Copy. Or carefully search the instruction booklet to see if it's been looked at?
Now, gauging from what I've read, the game could be better, but also from what I read, the game is exactly what I'm into, and seems like a dream game. Bad Dimplomacy? Oh'well. I can go that extra Mile to get the PC on my team. Multiplayer Noobs quitting? Well, if you have a random match theres nothing stopping them from not resuming at all. But a invalid CD-Key, thats way to far. Many great games are coming out this year.(Spore, Left 4 Dead, Brawl, ect.) But Sins looked like something Great, that I wanted to be a part of. But I only have limited resources for Video Games. With some huge games coming out this year, I can't "afford" to get a " Invalid CD-Key " Error message just 'cause some Kid didn't wan't to pay for his 4X games. And after seeing what I've seen from Sins, I don't think I'll be able to go back to Empire at War on Strategy game night.
I see it as one of three ways, one, I'm obsessing over nothing, and theres only a handful of people with problems.
Two, theres only a handful of people with problems but I've became Biased and think there is alot of people with problems and there is cause for concern. Or three, it'll all turn out fine, and I'll be having 4X strategy goodness for months to come.
So, is there a high chance of me/others getting a Invalid Error Message? Should I buy it from a different outlet? Should I just say Oh'well, don't want to risk it? Be careful, probe the clerk about opened boxes and Return Policy's, or maybe check to see if the Instruction Manual is unscathed. Maybe I should ask them to check in the back for a unopened Copy? Or should I just walk up, buy it, and get on with my life, take it a minute at a time?
I would really appreciate a Straight out, dignified awsner on what I should do, and how I should do it. If you're coming here to say: " tis game sux my cd key dont work " Then don't bother coming, if some people come with a less " Newbish/Noobish " Overtone, then feel free to post your mind. Anyways, thanks to those who help. ~Turioko
