I created my own character- a Dem from CA for my first campaign. The first few levels were easy enough but the game against Ford is unwinnable. I am winning the whole game and then at some random moment in the latter part of the race, Ford suddenly has a giant spurt in his popularity and captures key states that I was leading in (Florida, Georgia) and all of a sudden the polls are ten points to his favor! My leads in TX, PEnn. and NJ were reduced to deadheats. How did this happen? I didn't see any endorsements pop up...I did create another chracter and used him as a VP....I'm not sure if a ticket of two created characters is such a good idea....anyone have any advice? Should I use set characters the first time around? Anybody?
