I won another MP game and it was a closer one. Thank god it wasn't close for this bug to take away sweet victory.
Get this, I won pennsylvania (21 electoral votes) by a margin of 54-45, but on election night it turned BLUE and my opponent got its votes! After I looked at the map after I was informed of eventual victory, I clicked it and it was red again with me up 54-45. Yet my opponent got those votes on election night! What gives?! This also happend in West Virginia (53-46 margin there, worth 5 electoral votes.
I won 288-250, though it should have been 314-224 (which is what the Zagby poll correctly indicated the week or two prior to election day as I solidified my states).
I also got more of the bug where I was not able to build ads after a certain point in the game (since this game was closer I thank god it didnt happen till a few weeks were left). I also could not delete any ads I have created from states I no longer wanted to advertise in. I also noticed it took me a few clicks (and airplane noises) to sometimes leave a state and go to another one.
I kept the game on longer to examine state-by-state details and week 45's newspaper came up with no events. You guys should really stop counting them weeks after election day. I think this bug only happens in MP and not SP because there is a timer, so eventually 5 turns went by and the newspaper went up where as in SP there is no time limit (and since you can't click turn) it never happens.
As I sit here right now in fact, I have 1.7 million in the bank (left the game on after victory) and nearly 2 billion votes in the popular vote count. If you want to see a screenshot of this let me know and I will send you one.
So far those are all the bugs I have noticed. I hope these get fixed fast. The thing about the game going on after its over is not so annoying since most people don't stick around anyway like I do, but counting the electoral votes of a state the wrong way despite a 9 point margin of victory is something that can potentially cost someone the game. If this had happened in a few more swing states (which I came out on top by at least 6-10 points) then I could've potentially lost the game despite winning it. I think that bug needs to be fixed as a highest priority.
Also the next crippling bugs are the ones where my president won't move or I have to do a few clicks to move, as that is annoying and in some cases can cause me to lose out on "?" dealies, along with the bug that prevents me from building new ads and HQ's. So far out of the 3 games i've played in MP this has happened in two of them, so it needs to be looked into. Not being able to buy stuff, especially if it kicks in early as with one of my games can be potentially very damaging.
