The game is fun however it is missing something. Here are a few suggestions that I have:
As mentioned in numerous posts SLOW down the election results. I used to play an old game called President Elect (it can be found on various websites for download as abandonware). This game would show results trickle in from states. This made the game more suspenseful and added some drama. The Political Machine has an anti-climatic ending given the length of time that is put into the campaign.
Also, an incumbent option needs to be added. The incumbent party should have an advantage/disadvantage based upon the current state of domestic/international affairs. Also, it would be nice if events popped up that an incumbent president would have to address.
Debates are sorely needed. You should be able to agree to 1,2 or 3 debates with the other presidential candidate. Also, the VPs should have a debate that doesn't effect the polls as much as the presidential candidate's debate does.
Those are my three primary recomendations. I know that they have been mentioned in other posts as well. There are also additional features that would be great but first these issues should be addressed.
