To whom it may concern,
I've been watching the progress of this game off and on for a while and was very excited about its release. As so many do I suppose, I read the forums and quietly watched as people talked about pros and cons, this or that. I'm not a beta tester, nor really do I ever intend to be but I do love games and the evolution of them.
Of course every title is relative. What is sublime to me is quite honestly down right boring or benign to some of my friends. The reverse is also true. I bring this up because I've seen posts, comments and even feedback from others about either the scope of the game being too large, or the game lacking diversity or certain components of complexity.
I can empathize with the latter. Then again I'm a very demure person. I'm not a person that would actually
lead a solar empire... ever. By this I mean that I do not make decisions with confidence or follow through as I simply take large amounts of time mulling over every option and double checking my plans... Its been my personal experience that people like me don't make grand, successful rulers.
Regardless of this I am fascinated by the game and love it. The scale and scope if for no other aspect then the ambition of what you set out to do is amazing. The actual fact that you pulled it off in true form?
I think you should be very proud. So while the game doesn't hug and hold every tender part of my obsessive nature or stroke my ego in just the right way to make me forgo society and delve into beyond reason, which now that I think about it may be your intelligent design at work again, it is by far one of the best games I've had privlidge to play in a good while.
Its my humble opinion that games like these but more importantly the designers and teams behind them that progess these generes that lead to these sort of experiments with beauty.
I guess what I'm trying to say is thanks.
