Nah, it's pretty typical for an RTS launch, Spartan. I've been playing them since Dune, and despite my hope that this game CLEARLY STATING it's a "4X" game and people would realize that, apparently there will always be the people who don't.
It simply amazes me to be sure. But then I'm not a big RTS person or FPS one for that matter either.
I understand people having issues and grips with things and wanting to inform the community and the devs about it. I do think it should be done a rational, cogent, concise and none hostile manner however.
Starting off a complaint thread acting like your life is over or there has been a great cosmic scam perpetrated on you or utterly slamming the devs, in their own house nonetheless, without merit or cause simply befuddles my sense of civil responsibility as well as expectations of maturity.
This is so given that the average gamer is over 30 and apparently SD/IC recognizes that fact, thus we get a lot of posting freedoms on these forums word usage wise, that simply is not allowed on any other developer forums I have even been on or know about because they are run from the viewpoint that nearly everyone is a teenager or younger. So to have posts made here reflective of that juvenile mentality really irks me to say the least.
