how do you do the missions?

i started playing this game with an ally because i am scared i might get my ass kicked !
but after a few minutes into the game my ally kept giving me missions. the missions are not even specifics!

it is always like destory (race) ships. i get very confused because sometimes they have tons of SHIPS AND PLANETS.... how do i complete my missions? i can't just genocide them in like 15 minutes or something

help ! plz thx !

If you want to have an ally permanently, make sure that when you set up the game, you turn locked teams on. I don't think you'll have to do missions then.

If you like getting the missions and want to complete them, you'll have to build up enough ships to do what they say - if they want you to take out 5 enemy ships, you'll need a big enough force to do that. It might take a little time.

it doesn't even say how many ships i have to destory ! and sometimes it tells me i have to destory a building. then what if the enemy have more than 5 of the building? do i have to destory them all? it doesn't even tell me where i have to kill the enemy ships or buildings either......

You can't specifically, however once you're at good relations with an AI, you can select one of their units and give them requests to attack/defend at places of your choosing.
