After the previous replay I posted (WWW Link) of rokkit and I defeating redlab and 99, we accepted redlab's request for another game. This time he paired up with leinad, who has now caused trouble for me in a few matches.

From my perspective, the game was off to a flying start, colonies springing up left right and center without slowing down my eco at all. However my fast expansion led me to neglect my civilian research, and so when redlabs culture struck from an unexpected angle one of my asteroid outposts was quickly assimilated into his growing empire. At the time I my fleet was helping rokkit to repel an invasion from leinad, so I was forced to scramble back to my homelands and attempt to recapture the asteroid, which was uncomfortably close to my home planet.

By the time the fleet had returned I had managed to build up more supporting forces, and wiped out redlabs fleet at the asteroid. However, as I set about demolishing the structures redlab had built I was hit by a joint force of leinad and redlab, which my battleweary fleet was unable to stand against. The joint fleet proceeded to my home world an effectively removed me from the game.

I watched as rokkit launched a strong offensive against leinad, but by this time leinads fleet was too numerous and his caps too veteran. With no fleets, and not enough resources to rebuild, rokkit and I conceded the game.

Well done to leinad and redlab, who won the game through great team play which rokkit and I failed to match.
